Handcrafted in the United States by walleye fishermen, for walleye fishermen. Utilizing metal finishes and the best painters in the walleye industry, i1 Baits has added a new dimension to blade bait fishing.  I have taken three years developing this bait, catching everything from sunfish to king salmon on them. On your first cast, you notice the difference, as this bait has the easiest start-up of anything we have ever fished. Try one and see.

i1 Baits custom patterns utilize a holographic underlayment that makes them change colors under varying lighting conditions, just like real baitfish.  These blade baits come complete with premium  Mustad KVD ultra-point treble hooks as well as American-made snaps and split rings.

Review Update Two Years Later

Two years ago I wanted to try my hand at fishing for walleye. One bait option I learned about were blade baits. Somehow, I found i1baits online and since they were made in America I ordered a few. When I got them, I was impressed with the quality and sharp hooks. It was winter here so I couldn't fish them but left a review on the quality of the bait. It's two years later and what a ride it has been. First try of the blade bait was cast it out and jig it back to the boat. Just a slight raise of my rod tip and you could feel the vibration of the bait. With it being early spring on the Mississippi River, water levels were high and I tried a spot I had fished for years ( not a proven walleye spot but good for different species ). No success early on but after a couple hours of no success I decided to try the bad boy blade bait just for practice jigging. Jigged it a few times then threw it out and realed it in like any normal crank bait. Wham, I got a striped bass that just crushed it. Threw it out again and an hour later I had my limit of 25 striped bass, a few largemouth, and one walleye. Went to that same spot the next day and again several different species hit the bad boy blade bait. I trolled around that body of water and caught fish all day. My next trip out I took my brother. I told him I caught the fish on blade baits so he bought a few ( not i1baits ). We went out to another spot known for Northern and we both had laid baits. Again, I was catching multiple species just catch and retrieve and he wasn't getting hardly any hits. I gave him one of my "Barely Legal" i1baits and he immediately got a hit and started catching fish. He commented on how much more vibration he could feel with the i1baits than his store bought blade bait. He bought some i1baits and he left a review at the time. Now I'm in my second year of using i1baits. Last year I used them for 95% of my fishing because the "Barely Legal" just catches fish. Hard to change to another bait when you have that go to proven fish killer and bad boy blade baits are it for me. Yesterday it was at the dam and we got Northern, largemouth and striped bass. Lost my last "Barely Legal" blade bait on a huge northern and now it's time to re-order. I can testify to this, as far as learning to catch walleye, boy I have a lot to learn. Hard fish to learn the tricks to catch. But being horrible at knowing how to catch walleye, I did put a half dozen in the boat. All were caught on bad boy blade baits. As far as other species, Northern, Largemouth, Striped Bass, Crappie, I crushed it all year last year exclusively on these baits. Started off this year hot as well with Northern, Largemouth, and Striped Bass. "Barely Legal" has been my go to and has never disappointed. Good luck to everyone out there and tight lines.

I've heard excellent reviews on them!

I haven't tried them out yet, but I'm confident that they work well! I should be trying them out in the next couple of weeks. Thanks!
